Assessment Case study with Thomas International
elemense have recently completed a project for the recruitment of a Quality Assurance Management position with VT Group. This was a crucial appointment into a mission critical project and the General Manager wanted to ensure he made the right appointment from both a skills and personality perspective. Whilst people remain the heart of a business it is their interaction with one another that can impede the flow of work and productivity. Personality clashes are a major cause of breakdown in team communication and good will.
elemense were able to offer a ‘pick & mix’ menu of tests to suit the client’s needs. We worked with the client to identify which assessments met the client’s requirements and had the flexibility and systems to implement the testing within hours. Tests can be carried out face-to-face or remotely over the internet. Elemense gathered all candidates details, briefed the candidates on what to expect and set them up with the tools to complete the profiling. Thomas International's PPA has received a Certificate of Registration from the British Psychological Society (BPS) to confirm it meets all psychometric requirements for use as a psychological tool.
Reports were then generated and given to the client in an interview briefing pack highlighting;
- Candidates motivations
- Job emphasis: the types of positions and work environments that suit the candidates motivations
- Descriptive words
- Current job behaviours
- Behaviour under pressure
- Values
- Interviewers guide, including: sample questions
Following the PPA assessments and interviews a suitable candidate was identified and elemense facilitated the engagement of the candidate into the business. The hiring manager not only feedback to us on the usefulness of the process but also requested additional reports on the successful candidate to establish the best way in which to manage and utilise them in the role.
